Q: Is there a wait-list for services or support?

A: Spectrum Optimal Care does not currently have a wait-list. Your initial call will determine if the support we provide would benefit you and your family. From there, you will be provided with intake documents to complete. Depending on your insurance, funder (SDP or IRC), or if you're private pay, the first appointment for your initial assessment will be scheduled within 1-3 weeks of us receiving your intake. 

Q: What is ABA therapy and how does it work?

A: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is a science-based approach to understanding and improving behavior. It uses positive reinforcement and individualized plans to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors, especially for children with autism.

Q: Who can benefit from ABA therapy?

A: ABA therapy is most commonly used to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), but it can also benefit individuals with other developmental, behavioral, or learning challenges. Find out more here

Q: What is parent training in ABA therapy?

Q: Do you work with families of children with autism?

A: Yes! We specialize in ABA therapy,  social skills training, and parent training for children with autism and other developmental needs.

Q: Do you offer virtual services?

A: Yes, we offer remote consultations and some parent training services via secure video call.

Q: How is parent training delivered?

A: Parent training is flexible—we offer in-person or virtual sessions where we coach caregivers on behavior strategies and everyday support techniques.

Q: Do you offer services for children without an autism diagnosis?

A: Yes! We support children with a range of behavioral, developmental, or cognitive challenges—even without a formal diagnosis. If your child has frequent meltdowns, communication delays, trouble with routines, or difficulty learning new skills, ABA therapy may help. A consultation with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) can help determine if it's a good fit.
